I have taught singing at More House School since September 2001. It's a small independent Roman Catholic school for girls located in London SW1.
The school is abuzz with music - there are numerous choirs and instrumental ensembles and the school lays on impressive concerts.
I direct the Junior Chamber Choir, the specialist choir for Years 8 and 9 girls. We perform a mixture of folk, classical and pop repertoire, often specially arranged.
I presently teach about sixteen girls aged 11-18 on a weekly basis. I prepare my pupils for Associated Board examinations, also helping out with aural training, concert preparation, etc. It is hugely satisfying to see girls grow and mature as singers - from nervous starters to confident young adult performers.
I have also taught Sixth Form groups for A and AS Level Music History. |
